Looking for accommodation? Why not try Picnic Bay Surf Life Saving Club (1A Esplanade, Picnic Bay) on Magnetic Island. The clubhouse is nestled at the base of Nobby Point Headland with a sweeping view to the mainland.

The Club House is a 2 minute walk to shops, restaurants, hotels and public transport. It's also  a 5 minute drive from the Sun Ferries terminal (www.sunferries.com.au).   You can swim safely swim within the stinger net area which is patrolled by our members.

The clubroom is fully furnished, with coin operated airconditioners and dormitory style accommodation for 39 people. Both rooms have lockers to stow away your belongings. If you wish to lock your belongings away you will need to bring along a padlock and key.

You can prepare your meals in the fully equipped galley kitchen, then decide whether to eat indoor or outdoors. The kitchen joins onto a very large bar/bench area that leads into a spacious common room. If you prefer to cook outside you can wheel the portable BBQ onto the patio and sit around the barbie.

All you need to bring is linen, food and drink.

 

Conference Venue
Why not consider holding your conference at Picnic Bay Surf Life Saving Club on Magnetic Island. There is a video projector suspended from the ceiling with pull down screen, whiteboard and DVD player in the common for you convenience.

There is no onsite catering so you will need to organise your own.
